Dear all,

This is rather awkward for me to ask for all your help in this way. I am an academician from Pune who feels very passionate and satisfied while teaching mechanical engineering students and helping them graduate. People describe me as someone with a hunger for knowledge, fluent in communication, and compliment me for the same. I used to prioritize passion over monetary benefits, but now, with a growing family, I am desperately trying to switch to the IT or training industry. However, I am facing difficulties in this job hunt. Here are my challenges:

1. I am a mechanical engineer with no direct access to the IT industry.
2. At 28 years old, I am considered too old to be a fresher.
3. I am expecting a salary of around 40,000 INR per month, which may be challenging as my current salary is 35,000 INR.
4. I heard that IT industries do recruit experienced individuals from any stream. How can I present my candidature for roles in the IT industry?
5. If anyone can provide an opportunity or help me secure a job, I assure I won't disappoint them.

I believe my strengths include:

1. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
2. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with distinction.
3. Solid knowledge of core mechanical engineering subjects.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. 7.5 years of experience in classroom teaching and training.
6. Hardworking nature.
7. Previous experience as a corporate trainer on a part-time basis.

I would be grateful if someone could help me secure a job.
