Hi all,

I have gone through this story, a really very nice one:

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test. "You are employed," he said. "Give me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as the date when you may start." The man replied, "But I don't have a computer, neither an email." "I'm sorry," said the HR manager, "If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist cannot have the job." The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate. He then sold the tomatoes in a door-to-door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded in doubling his capital! He repeated the operation three times and returned home with $60. The man realized that he can survive this way and started to go every day earlier and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

Five years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US. He started to plan his family's future and decided to have life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him for his email. The man replied, "I don't have an email." The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded in building an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?!" The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"

Moral of the story:

Moral 1 - The internet is not the solution to your life.

Moral 2 - If you don't have the internet and work hard, you can be a millionaire.

Hi,

Here is a story with a moral. Yes, one should always have a positive attitude. I heard that Dr. Abdul Kalam and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan were rejected by the Army Services Selection Board. However, with their talent and attitude, they have succeeded in their career paths. If one converts problems into opportunities, definitely one can succeed in life.

Really a nice one story with a great achievement. But, there is a second face to this story. Is this story real or imaginary? If it's real, then it has meaning.

Secondly, the person has no email when he has nothing. When he builds a large business, at that time he must have an email address. We should keep pace with technology, or otherwise, we will lag behind the world. The internet is a necessary thing in this world, not as important as food, shelter, or other basic necessities. However, if you aim to build large ambitions, it is a must, a must.

This is my opinion.

Hi Prashant,

Thank you for your inputs. However, my dear friend, there is no fight over whether you have an email or not. The essence of the story is that you should just work hard, and you will achieve your goals. Please understand, my friend. I agree with you that in our professional life, we must have an email ID, but the moral is that you should work hard.

Thanks,

Really, Manish, I will be really thankful to you for publishing this story here. But in my opinion, this story, without actual reference to anybody, seems imaginary. If you post any real story with names and situations, it would be more impactful, isn't it?

It's my real opinion that this site is for people who have great dreams of achieving something great. Then why are you demoralizing them? There are many stories by which we can inspire our members or friends.

I can give you an example of the owner of the richest person on earth and the owner of Microsoft, Bill Gates.

During his college period, Bill Gates used computers on an hourly basis, and at one time, he was barred by the college/university for using a computer for hacking. Did he give up using computers? No! It is one of the reasons he is the richest person in the world for the last 10 years.

Einstein was kicked out of school by his teacher due to weakness in Maths. We know very well what he proved.

Thomas Edison invented the light bulb after failing in nearly hundreds of experiments.

Are these not examples of hard work?

Manish, I am eagerly waiting for your response.
