Hi,
There are many institutes that provide training on ISO standards. There are more than 27,000 ISO standards in the market. On which standard would you like to gain knowledge? Some ISO standards that are very popular in the market include ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management Standard), ISO 14000:2004 (Environmental Management), ISO 18000 (OSHAS), ISO 27000 (Information Security Management), etc. You should decide based on your background education and experience.
You can contact BSI, UL, RWTUV, BVQI, or many more certification bodies that provide training on these standards, and it is recognized all over.

Sathya

Hi Kumar,
FYI, the information I mentioned is correct. Below are the statistics. The number you mentioned, 16000, is actually 16455 as of December 31, 2006. These 16455 standards are considered international standards. The remaining 11000+ standards are also published by ISO, but they are not recognized as international standards as they did not qualify during voting. When combined, the total is more than 27000.

Hi guys,
Thank you for the information. I am basically a BCA graduate and I am currently doing my MBA from ICFAI. I worked for a company in Ahmedabad. It's a BPO, and I worked in quality assurance. A friend of mine suggested that I pursue a career in quality standards. Can anyone provide insights into the career opportunities in this field?
