Hi dear hanny,
For me its not surprising that a person after streamlined his 10 yrs exposure in enggr. is becoming a part of h.r .Its too good to be in hr concept after enggr. as a technical person when sits and think for the whole group of people as he had done never before makes an addition to his credibility, sustainability n good career oriented opportunity.

now coming to ur 3 questions ,the answer is:-

1. its a good sign of movement
2. i m the set example
3. u need to know ur job ie, the work in hr field well, rest is ok.

Regards,
