Hello Seniors,
I have been hearing about this term "Core HR" and would like to know what exactly are the areas it comprises of? Also, I have heard that if one is looking for a career in SAP-HRMS, it is preferred to have 2-3 years of experience in Core HR apart from being certified in SAP. What kind of experience is exactly preferred for a career in SAP-HRMS? Please shed some light on these questions. I am sure there are many people who would love to know this information.
Best Regards,

Hi,
Core HR covers all the topics like PD, PA, Recruitment, Benefits, Compensation, Policies, etc.
If you are a fresher, it's a waste to join a SAP HR course. Kindly first gain experience in Core HR, and then you can proceed with software-related packages.

Hi,
My friend has passed P.G. in Public Administration. She has completed a computer course one year ago. Currently, she is working in a consultancy firm. She has knowledge of P.F. (forms used for P.F., way of depositing P.F., etc.), ESI, bonus, gratuity, and constituents of payroll like basic salary and HRA. However, she has not pursued an MBA. She has also consulted with some private SAP institutions like High Technologies, Webcom, etc., in Delhi. They have told her that she can join SAP. Now, please guide me on whether she can handle it because she wants to enroll within the next 2 days.
I need your immediate guidance. It would greatly assist her in choosing her career.
Sincerely yours,
JPN

Dear all,
There are two streams of SAP - HRMS. One is for planning and implementation (for the core HR people), where they plan and set the system according to the company's requirements and also provide training for system usage.
The second stream is designing/functional, which requires computer skills (programming concepts).
I hope I am reaching you correctly.
Bye,
Abhi
