Hi There,
There are 2 things you can do. If you do this regularly you can surely improve your English.
1) Read English newspaper every day for 1 hr. ask your friends or seniors for any doubts in pronunciations and meaning.
2) Stand before mirror for 10 mins and speak in English on any topic.
This will definitely bring a huge change in your communication skills.

Hi Curio,
I believe the best way to champion English is - to start thinking in English.
The primary reason you might be having difficulty with speaking is because your thought process is in your mother tongue and then you try and translate it in English (which also cause's a delay).
Try this particular excercise and you can see the developments within days...

Best is to read as many editorials and opinions of English newspapers as you can. Editorial Junction brings the collections of good editorials of various newspapers.

Dear Curio,
You try to understand the usage of tenses thoroughly then try to practice that in your day to today life. It's enough to improve your English language fluency.
If you want to fine tune your language fluency, You can go as per our peer advice.
This is my view

1) Listen to English news or english movie. Please dont watch it, just listen for 15 minutes
2) Read aloud any story book with a lot of intonation.
3) Speak in English, dont worry about making mistakes.
do this for 3 months without fail and you will be able to speak good english. remember there is difference between fluency and good communication

I agree with Krishna, Please do not depend on self study. Find a good teacher who can teach you the correct pronounciation ( a native english peaker if possible!!) .

All you have to do is to think in English. To simplify it better, our mind thinks non stop so if we start thinking in English (usually we think in our mother tongue) we can improve our language. Secondly, communicate in English as much as you can.
