I would like to take some suggestion and help from all the senior members that in the current scenerio of resession it will be good to go for CCIE(it is a training programme conducted by cisco in the networking).
CCIE cost almost 2.5 Lakhs and will take around 8 months to complete. I am in GIS domain currently and now i would like to shuffle towards networking and in the networking i have dont diploma in hardware and networking and MCSE 2003.

the is no doubt that CCIE is a good certification and it will add to your market value, but it would be gr8 if you can join some organization who sponsors such certifications for their employees as this helps them in getting higher revenue from their clients.

Dear RSB,
Many thanks for you valuable suggestion.
But i would like to clear you one thing that since last 3 years I am in the different domain(GIS) and now to change the domain will not be an easier task for me.

There is no use of CCIE certificate, if you dont have experience in that field for around 6-8 yrs. It would be good to go for CCNA first and then gain some experience in networking. Regds...cliffy

hi,
You may proceed for CCIE as its not an easy task but it will be valuable for you in next 2/3 years .My husband is also CCIE so he generally discussed things with me.(Current scenario).Rest is upto you but before CCIE you just do some basics like ccna or basics of routing and switching.
Regards.
