Hi Friends,

I am posting this question to know your view on this. what is the prospect after doing PGCHRM from XLRI? Do people from HR background only get benefitted or someone from other field also has advantage after finishing this course. I have a technical background and working in HR for last 4 years. I have done some certification courses in HR ( from HR House), but it did not help me in getting a good ob profile so far. I am not able to decide on applying for this course as it is very costly (nearly 2 lacs) and what is the recognition it gonna give me in future.

Though we all know XLRI has its name for PM & IR course, but that is again in regular curriculam. But doing a sattelite course which is so costly is a real fear for me. If it gives return then will be really fruitful, but if it doesn't then will be really tough to accept. I am in my late 20s and very difficult to take chances from here on. Our industry is very young and once you cross 30 then people in this sector do not accept you as right prospect for the company. So, in fear and dont know how i should shape up my future growth. I have a mix of experience, Recruitment, General role, Employee Relation. But never got an opportunity to work with a company where things are process oriented. i have done a PG course in HRM and tried to get in to core areas of HR. Things did not work out so far. It was going in my mind for some time shall i go in for this course but again cost and previous failure to get a good job put me in a kind of fix. So, i am reaching out you experienced people in the corporate and allumni of XLRI (Sattelite program) to get honest suggestion. Kindly help me to decide.

Kindly suggest me.

Thanks and Regards

Binay

Hi Binay
This course will definetely help you a lot.It wn't give you campus placement help as it is in satellite mode but it will carry good value in terms of market value and course content is too gud.
