Hi,

My PF withdrawal has been rejected by my bank as it is a joint account. I have been told that for the PF amount to be credited, I should have a bank account in my name only.

My problem is that I only have a salary account in a single name, which is my married name (in Mumbai), whereas my PF account was in my maiden name (in Ahmedabad). It has been over a year since I left the previous organization.

Can anyone suggest what would be the quickest way to get my PF amount?

Thanks

Hi, Urvi,

There is no other option; PF amount will be credited only to that particular person's account. So, you need to open a new savings account in the name mentioned in PF. Then only your PF amount will be transferred to that account, and you will get your money.
