I'm a student of MBA 3rd semester. I have taken HR as a major and Marketing as minor subjects. Well, it's time for me to choose a topic for the final research project, and I'm thinking of selecting "Retention of Employees" as my topic. It is still not decided as I have to consult my project head. However, I need your suggestions on whether or not I should choose this topic and some help regarding this topic if I choose it. In fact, I did a similar project where I focused on the BPO sector and drafted my report. Probably, you should read the book "Turn the Tide on Retention." I am sure it would help.

Attrition is a real concern for every industry, mainly IT & ITES. If you are working on a project about retention strategy, it will be advantageous for you in the future. However, you should approach your project sincerely, not copy-pasting content (CCP), as there is plenty of material available on the internet. In my opinion, the real value addition in an MBA program occurs during the project duration.

First of all, let me clarify your doubt. CCP stands for cut, copy, and paste from different sites, which is very frequently used as a means to complete projects by students. So, instead of relying on CCP, you should work hard on your project to add value to your knowledge. I had also completed a project on the same topic during my third semester. I'm thinking to take Herzberg's maintenance theory as my base for this, and I'm focusing on the hotel industry and four different hotels. I have chosen the hotel industry because I worked in a hotel for my summer project.
