Dear all,
Warm greetings. I am working with a reputed international school with about 250 staff. I started working on developing an appraisal system for the school and think a 360-degree approach is the best one.
My question is, as I am going for the appraisals for the first time, is it good to start with 360 degrees, or should I begin with a normal rating scale appraisal? If so, can anyone assist me in developing the format for school staff?
Thank you.
Yours,

What you both need to do is some literature search and then decide. What do you understand by 360-degree appraisal? If there is no appraisal system at present and if you are going to introduce peer appraisal and appraisal by students and subordinates, it will have a lot of repercussions. Do you know what they are?

Hi Vamsigyandev!
Just came across your query. In case you are still looking for literature on the same, there is a book called "360 Degree Feedback and Performance Management System, Vol-2." This is a publication of TV Rao Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd., Excel Books. The book contains an amazing study/article on assessing teachers and teaching effectiveness.
Unfortunately, I do not have the soft copy for this.
Regards,
Neha.
