As per the information i had here, a management trainee post differs from industry to industry and even company to company. As a MT you may be asked to take up the HR activities or Marketing activities. Salary will be very minimum to start but may after the probation period if they are satisfied with your performance your salary may increased. If you want to know anything particular pls let me know

I think formal organization treat MTs as entry level employee and exluding perks and esops and prvileges. As far as this is the time when they learn from being informal to formal approach and managing things in effective and upright manner so their treatment charts out the plan for the organization if they are inducted afor long term perrspective. salary component should be satisfactory aand cover their daily food, tracvel and lounge expenses and some pocket money as well as if you go into detail and it also depend kind of work and time you are taking from them so they are productive in chain.

Many employees are not in favour of the management trainees , how does one position the MT's.

MTs have better carreer option to choose.
emps should not get threaten they are add ons (plug ins) and now whole system is itself build of plugins usualy.
proper policy and work assign ment and decision making can cut cost and improve emp morale also.
