Dear All,
I need some clarification if anybody can help for the benefit of all
If an employee took leave from friday to monday we usually calculate the leave for 4 days(inclusive of sat & sun).
My question is if the employee took the leave before the national holiday or festival holiday and after the holiday, will we include the holiday also as leave or we have to take only 2 days leave alone.

Dear Ramanathan,
Incase if any employee takes leave before the national holiday or festival holiday den that day will not be counted in the leave tenure......and the leave of that employee will be counted from next day onwards (d day after the holiday).....
The rest leaves deoends upon the "Leave POlicy of your company"......

Dear Ramanath, National and Mandatory Holidays are not to be counted as leave availed by employee. Inclusions of Sats & Suns will depend on your orgsn’s leave policy. Regards, Suja

Dear Ramanathan ji,Usually, For the calculation of EL leaves the National , Festival & Weekly Offs are excluded. If the person is applied for CL it will be included. But its purely of the company Leave Policy. So, is your company having and such policy ?Regards,PBS KUMAR

Hi Ramanthan,
if an employee takes an off immediate before or after an public holiday, that sould be considered as a leave....
Actually, we may or may not follow this protocol, if you want to implement this policy, then we need to consider many things... so that we can justify the policy that we follow.

Actually employee taken leave from friday to thrusday than saterday and sunday or any holiday will come in that duration it will be calculate as leave, because weekly off or holiday will be payable if employee will be present before or after the weekly off or holiday.
