You would have given some more information about your Organization - I came across a model which traces the steps necessary in the training process.
  • Organizational Objectives
  • Needs Assessment
  • Is There a Gap?
  • Training Objectives
  • Select the Trainees
  • Select the Training Methods and Mode
  • Choose a Means of Evaluating
  • Administer Training
  • Evaluate the Training
Good luck!

Hi Pranav,
The first step is that you need to identify what training programs would be required for your workers...You mentioned that you need to educate them...But educate them on what? About your company poicies and procedures, about work ethics, about productivity, effective skill enhancement programs, etc.
You have certainly identified the people you need to train. The next step would be the above. Therefore Fredricks advice would help.
Now that there are 600 people, you would need to prepare a Training Calender Management Schedule for them. Then co ordinate.
It would be best if you could share your company profile, objectives, reason behind training your staff and I being the industry could guide you.
Feel free to contact me on 09820389180 or email me on

Imran.

Dear Pranav,

As can be inferred from your mail, that their are no training and development activities happening in your organization, i would suggest you to start this process but take one step at a time.

Employees in your org. may not be tuned to the idea of training and may not understand the benefits.

You would first have to identify training needs. Divide them into technical needs , Behavioural needs and functional needs. Try and gather the inputs from team leads, departmental heads, business head. Then you can prepare a white paper stating the problem , need to combat it and benefits that could be derive out of it.

You would have to sell this idea to your senior management as training & OD function gives best results when there is a top down approach. Also your sr.team will have to commit for lending the support.

Then you can identify in-house trainers for technical trainings and tie up with external vendors for softskill training. Prepare a training plan(start with two trngs a month) and start rolling it out.

Take the support of your srt. team for having max. participation.

Ofcourse you would have to prepare attendence sheet, feedback forms.
