All it firms are covered under Shops and Estd act and every state having their own amendment on leave .For ex we are at tamilnadu
and as per tamilnadu shops and estd act emp should provided with 12 days of EL,CL,SL annualy. Like that go through the law which is appliacable to it.so that u will be winning both employer and Statutory complaince(Govt)

I am also working in a IT company. Firstly leaves are assigned year wise that is Calender or Financial wise i.e Jan to Dec or April or March and it may be pro data wise.
Classification of Leave:
Casual Leave can be assigned - 8
Sick Leave can be assigned - 8
Privilege Leave can be - 26
In our company CL leaves are not Carry forwarded they are encashed.
Whereas accumulation days for SL -8 and PL -93.
Even Provided SL for those employees who r in probationary period.
U can also add:
- Leave combination : i.e while taking a leave what type of leave u can mix with what type of leave for e.g. CL with PL or SL with CL.
- How days can u take for each leave.For e.g. CL at a stretch an employee can take 3 days not more than it and for SL if the leave exceeds more than 3days then a medical certificate should be produced.
- Compensatory off validations can also be given.
- Leave Enchasment Period: Within what period the employee can encash his leaves.
could you plz help me in the leave policy, as in our company we have only CL, we do not have sick leave, medical leave or PL. I want to know as what is legally required? What is the exact leave policy include? And I want to know about the PL .
I belong to a Media Comapny. We have probation period of 6 months. But we not aligned any single holiday in probation period. I am new to this field. So ,please can you help me out how many leaves should be granted in probation period? and after probation period? That should be Casual Leave or earned leave or sick leave?How many sick,casual and earned leaves can be granted in a year ?Please reply as soon as possible.
