All of us know that the technical guys are always interested in onsite opportunities.
They are having ample chances to go onsite for shorter/longer duration with any of the IT Cos.
But I have never heard of any HR person is going onsite for a client meet/interaction.
So, do you think that these onsite opportunities are never made for HR guys like us...?

Onsite opportunities for HR are comparatively low as HRs main customer/ client is within the organization itself. HRs clients are employees, trainees and the entire management within the organization. So there is no scope wherein the HR is required to get in frequent contact with the company's external customers. So thats the main reason i feel that HRs do not have many onsite opportunities:icon1:

Though opportunities for HR professionals going onsite are lesses compared to some other professions, practice of sending HR professionals onsite is seen in many organizations.
HR professionals can be sent onsite for some training programs, deputation on some professional assignment, business meetings, etc.

Its available with some IT some companies to understand the process.

Normally the first preference has to go HR Professionals because they are the Key Person of the business and they should be sent to onsite first to understand the business perspective and budgeting clearly. All HR Guys should get the oppty atleast one time by their current employer.
