Hello,
Can We Transfer PF from Govt. EPFO To Any Private PF Trust?
Brief background on this question is - I worked for a company A in Bangalore and that company had my PF accumulated in PF Office, Karnataka.
I quit company A and Joined company B where company B is in Maharashtra. Company B doesn't have PF with govt. but have a PF Trust maintained by some private company.
Now, I filled form for PF Transfer and sent it to company A for transfering that PF amount to current company's PF trust. After 9 months, I see the status of my application to be "Denied/ Rejected", stating the letter has been sent with details for rejection. Of course I didn't receive any letter from them yet though.
I again applied PF Transfer, it was rejected again.
With all this wait time of over 1 year, I now have applied for PF Withdrawal forcibly, which is not recommended though, for any employee working for private companies. And hope it will be processed with no issues this time.
My question is - Can We Transfer PF from EPFO (Govt.) To PF Trust (Private)? Please clarify me on this. I'm assuming an answer to this question to be a 'NO' because my application has been rejected twice. Please share your thoughts on this and correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks & Best Regards,
BK.

Yes, you can transfer. But you have to forward the application through the second employer. But you have done ulta / vise versa. That will be the reason for denial. Abbas.P.S

Thank you, Abbasiti.
But form 10C/ 19 demands ex-employer's sign/ stamp and few details to be filled in. If I send it through 2nd employer, how will PFO accepts it without ex-employer's sign/ stamp??

Dear Bharath,
Form 10C, 19 etc. are not for transfer, but for settlement. For transfer you apply in form 13 and submit to present RPFO thr' the present employer. The present Regional PF Commissioner Office will collect the details from the previous RPFO.

Thank you, Abbas. I guess I understood it now.
For transfering PF from EPFO to PF Trust, we need to have new employer send Form 13 to local RPFO (and not to ex-employer/ previous RPFO). And then local RPFO (Govt.) contacts previous RPFO, then transfers PF to current PF Trust (private).
Is that all I captured correctly? Please reconfirm :) Appreciate all your time to let me understand this concept.
Cheers.

Hello again Abbas... Thanks for reconfirming this for me.
Someone again questioned me on this today:
I doubt if they really know about this process. What I believe is even though PF trust is maintained by some private company, it mush be/ should have been registered under regional PFO; and every transaction in PF Trust must be audited by RPFO. Is that right? If it is correct, then I believe it is how you told me holds strongly good.
Cheers!
