One of my friends had given a fake experience certificate to a reputed IT Company. His Background Verification Failed, and he Confessed that he had given a Fake certificate and Written Acceptance Mail to the Team and HR. What will Happen Next? Is he in Trouble?

Dear member,

On discovery of the fake employment certificate and on the admission of the fakery by the candidate, the company will blacklist the candidate. In the company records, the candidate will remain on the "negative list" forever.

Nevertheless, your friend can very well approach other companies by submitting authentic employment documents or academic certificates. If he is thinking that getting debarred at one company will get him debarred at all other companies, then it is far-fetched logic.

Thanks,

Dear member,

The candidate did forgery and he has admitted to his misconduct. However, most companies don't have the time and energy to file a police complaint. Secondly, the candidate is not an employee. Therefore, under which section or act the police can book the candidate?

Nevertheless, the incident has a lesson for a candidate to learn. The fakery or falsehood crumbles. Whoever commits it, however big the person may be, it does not matter!

Thanks,

Dear member,

Why can't you give complete information in one go? Why are you giving piecemeal information? This is a professional forum and while seeking free advice, the member seeking advice should be thoughtful of the senior's time. This is not a regular chat on WA where one can ask questions at one's liberty.

You do not wish to show basic courtesy to properly address a senior. You just come up with one-line questions as if others are at your beck and call to answer them. It is the height of insensitivity.

It appears that you are also as casual or impervious as your friend is.

Anyway, if the employee had to leave the employee just after the month, then his PF deduction will get reflected in his UAN and the future employer will come to know about it. Therefore, suppression of information from his CV about month's employment may not suffice the purpose.

Whether a month's employment will create a problem in getting future jobs cannot be ascertained. Let him keep on applying.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
