Hi,
In our company once the person puts up his resignation letter, all his benefits are kept under hold and it is paid to him on his full and final settlement.
Is it right on our part to do it like this.

According to my View " This will depend on the company policies". Some Companies consider the view of Mr. vinod bidwaik and some of S. Karthik ' s
But the fact is that company policies can be changed under circumstances and benifit of Leave, TA etc. is under authority of a company's policy.
Please let me know if i understood anything wrong...because that is my view.

Hello all,
Yes Niku, you are very much right. Paying benefits to the employee in his notice period varies from company to cpmpany and it purely depends on the policies of that company. I have seen a company where in which it pays only salry in the notice period, but not the incentives that he earns in his last month, at thesame time, there are other companies that pay even incentives along with the employee's salary at the time of final settlement with the company. So, it purely depends on the company's pilicies and nothing else.
If anyone knows about anything mentioned in particular on this in Business law, Please do let us know. Actually, this is one of my doubts from long time.
Regards,
Kiran.

Hi
Thanks a lot for the valuable comments on the topic. From the views expressed by the members, i could get a conclusion that benefits which are due as on date of quitting can be extended. And other benefits which are time dependent should not be given.
One again thanks a lot
