Dear Ms. Nidhi,
I had understood your concern. As long as you continue to offer your services as HR, your experience will be counted. How effective is HR PRACTICES in your company, you only know about it.
I would like to inform you that, in future, if you have any queries, please start a NEW THREAD. Its unprofessional and unethical to post your queries, irrelevant to the thread. Also, if you know any member, you can write to him either by sending email or private message.
If you don't know how to start new thread, you may feel free to ask board moderators or follow the STEPS for posting NEW THREAD.
With profound regards

Dear Mandeep,
Could you be kind enough to share, according to you, what kind of professionalism(in your employees) you are expecting to replace your current work culture.
Have you ever approached your superior for productive discussions?

Dear Mandeep,
I imagine the kind of position you find yourself in, it would help if you were more specific. However, you could begin from studying and understanding your company's mission and vision statements to give you direction. Then help develop or reshape your company's core values geared towards distinctive organizational culture emphasising critical behavioural competences like interpersonal relations, teamwork, communication skills, learning, empathy, etc.
I believe professionalism generally, is closely related to a company's org. culture and clearly set goals as well as employees getting to clearly know what the organization expects of them.
Kind regards,
Philip Okumu.

"Bring Professionalism in my office" - you can start with basic norms of any organisation. Some of these are reporting to duty punctually (always), knowing the organisation's policies, rules and regulations and stick to the processes formulated for routine work.
For example, for HR, there should be a salary process giving the start date (when the monthly attendance is closed for the salary) up to the finishing date (when the salary is credited to the employee's account). When the salary is given to the employee on the fixed date, any employee will say that HR in their company is 'professional'. The same with external vendors - when they are paid for their services on the promised date, they will comment that the organisation is 'professional'.
If these is not there for following, then any outsiders (and insiders) will have the opinion that this organisation (or department) is 'not professional'.

Hi!
This is related to Mandeep Kaur's query on professionalism. Every professionalism starts with the values of the organisation. Every organisation has got some manual designed for their entity, the HR manual should quote all these values of the organisation and every new employee should be given the values and behaviours training as their induction programme, which helps the organisation to keep its standards in one plain. Design your values and present it to all the employees and say every one has to follow the same as per the organisation's norms. I feel this would help you to standardise your operations...
Thanking you for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts with you on this problem...
Have a good day!!
