Hi All,
There are two ways of completing PhD.
One s a part time ( where you will be completing it while working full time) and another way to do it is through going for Full Time through a span of 4 years which are provided my many Institutions like IBS etc
IBS Hyderabad is giving such a kind of course where you will have to study for a period of 4 years and at the end that you will be entitled to receive your PhD Degree.
For This , one has to be selected in the entrance Test conducted by ICFAI - IBSAT which is held on December every year.
Now People who are opting to do it under some Guide while working Full Time , needs to work under some distinguished Guide.
The Role of a Guide ( Who can be a Professor/Lecturer) is to give you a overview of the Topic as well as help you in all the matters pertaining to your PhD.
As one of my Cite HR friend posted that there are so many Topics to choose from , but its always useful to take a topic which is Relevant in the Present Scenario.
Sometimes the Distinguished Guide will help you out in this matter , whereas most of the time He/She will be told to choose from Himself/herself , as a person opting for PhD should be very comfortable in that Topic.
A good amount of Research is necessary to select a Topic.
My suggestion would be to choose atleast 3 Topics , and present it to your Guide and then He will be in a better position to tell you which one is more useful in the Current scenario.
Please let me know If any one of my CiteHR Friends needs anything more in this Matter.
I will try my best to give inputs according to my personal Capacity.
With Regards ,
Sarkar
