Dear Seniors,
If the worker gets per month 3200/- Rs as a wages is it fine ?
Provided 12+ hours duty , 365 days working no holiday.
Kindly give me your views. I personally feel that management is offering less amount to them.

Dear nidhi
your worker is getting 3200/- do you have an option of extra hours pay in your company . if it is there you can motivate them in that manner after that you can inform them by proposing the performance appraisal based on your company .if is working good automatically there will be a hike after 6 months or 1 year

Dear Raghu,
They get 3200/- per month where they have no holiday and atleast 12 hours duty is there.
If it goes above 12 hours then we give them overtime.
But is it fine 3200/- per month. Thats my doubt.
How do I approach it ?

Hello Nidhi,
To decide, Whether the salary of Rs. 3200/- paid to an employee is correct or not, you need to study how much is paid in the similar industry in same region, in same conditions. You also need to check the conditions which you have mentioned are not violating the Satutary Rules & Regulations viz. Factory Act etc.
In my opinion, no body will be able to tell you, what is the right wages payable, unless and until he/she personally sees all the facts, as the details you have mentioned are not suffient to give the opinion.

First say if your company cover under factories act. If yes then the salary less then minimum wages and as a factory act you cant work more then 10 hours shift.look it.

Hello Nidhi,
just go through Factory Act also Minimum wages act And also show that to your employer highlight the things which create the problem legally .
Now your employer managing everything but tell him that if any accident or any legal inspection happen then that will create problem.

Hi,
Your company belong to steel manufacturing? 12 hrs is not permissible for entire month. First check the minimum wages implemented on your state for your industry and if it find suitable then it is ok, if not, pls. talk to your management.
Make sure that your company workers are not working 12 hrs on a daily basis.

Hi Nidhi,
The condition that you mentioned here, i think it is not in existance, cause its simply a harrasement of the workers in present scenario whre wages are in inflation and with 12 hour a day they are getting nothing, if it is really existing than their might be chances of dispute related to wages and trade union might enter into the picture, its simply the exploitation. if it is still present than their is one solution, you should study the job analysis of work, the risk, the workload, duration of hours, and with that you can evaluate each and every job and can fix appropriate wages or salary.

Pls refer minimum wages act & factories act in your region.
3200/- is very less wages and working hours is extra, it is not permitted by any labour law otherwise employer should pay overtime as per the mentioned in factory act.
And also note that the weekly off is mandatory after continious 6 working days in a week.
