Maximum working hours can be 9 hrs including the lunch time (If the organization is 5 days working)

do you have any document proof for this.

My question is below

Can you pls. clarify if shift timings are 9 hours/day, week means 5 working days?

What does 9 hour per shift mean? Does it include break or not?

As per our company's policy, for every 14 days work, employee is entitled for 3 days of leave.

This is split as one week with 6 working days and one week with 5 working days.

In this scenario, if we have 9 hours per day, it comes 99 hours in total, which works out to 49.5 hours per week.

If we exclude break timings it comes to 88 hours in total which works out to 44 hours per week.

Since break timings are not stated black and white, would like to know what Tamilnadu Labour Law

recommends as working hours per week.

Earlier our shift timings were 8 hours per week which includes 45 minute break time, now the shoft timing

is increased to 9 hours, however we are not getting any monitory benefits. Can we claim for the same with our employer?

As per law, a company is justified in having a 9 hour shift with 8 hours of working. Hence, you would not be eligible for any monetary benefit for the same.
