Hello seniors,
I am working in a school where they have put a condition that two sundays i have to attend the school and if i want to leave the job, i have to give six months notice. Legally, is this correct? How much notice period should be there? am i not eligible to get weekly off? they have made me sign on these conditions on a simple paper. (not on stamp paper) shall we take any action?

Dear Vrajeshkrutiji, Notice period depends on the policy and on appointment letter provided to you while joining in writing.

Dear Vrajeshkrutiji,
A plain paper sign can,t be evidenced for any of the condition. They should have made an agreement or shall have given you in writing in the appointment letter with all the approved authorized signatory duly signed.

6 months notice period :D. Its quiet bad and not at all justifiable. If you do not have any agreement signed, then find a new job and leave without informing.

Dear Vrajeshkrutiji
Weekly rest is everybody's right and has the force of law irrespective of one's job. However, the notice period depends on your agreement with your employer. Beside to this, you should find another job and leave the job without any notice. Donot loose your peace.
