In India, depending of the company, you may be asked to leave immediately and black listed in their system. Besides, faking the certificate is a serious crime as it not only harms the reputation of the company but also people life's in danger.
Imagine this madeup scenario "You have unfortunately met with an accident and rushed to a nearest dispensary and the doctor there has got the job with fake certificate. Rest you can well imagine what will happen"......

Dear Santosh,
Others have given you apt responses. Hence, let me ask you a question. Are you thinking of faking yours or are you asking what you could do as an employer? If so, also read posts at https://www.citehr.com/392224-employ...ction-pg3.html

I could not edit the typo in my above message. Please note "has" should read "have". Also kindly see messages at https://www.citehr.com/392224-employ...ction-pg3.html

Dear Santosh,
Aptness of the example cited by UK Mitra apart, let me tell you that job interview is a part of the recruitment process. Now since the falsification of the experience or CV was detected right at recruitment stage, company will not take candidate on board. Therefore, there cannot be any employer-employee relationship. As a consequence, company cannot blacklist candidate with some industry association like NASSCOM (provided there is such provision to do it). At best company may blacklist candidate in their internal database of the candidates.
While giving above reply that let me clarify that I have given only the reply to your query. It may not be construed as my support for any fraudulent means to get the job.
Ok...

Thanks for your reply mr dinesh. One of friends had faced this issue. He had knowledge but not exp. Hence he showed fake exp. In turn he was caught unfortunately. I am posting this comment on his behalf. So he changed his exp. to actual exp. But he is worried about his future. Pls suggest.

candidate does this perhaps to show continued job status else fear of not getting right job evenif he/she has adequate work knowledge and qualification that reflected in interview.
Its required to know What to do on hiring candidate like this fake work exp.But have good work knowledge? can we avoid its fake exp. and hire him/her ?
If showing current status as unemployed as experienced candidate, can we hire him/her?

Dear Chandrakant,
If you find the candidate suitable for the job, confront him about the fake experience, etc., and see what response you get. If he gives proper explanation of why (s)he resorted to falsifying records, warn her/him of the dire consequences of falsifying and hire the candidate. I think it all depends upon an organisation's policy.

positive thought. But is it really helpful if experience and knowledgeable candidate who is currently unemployed genuine reason (like retrenched due to fire-fire practice), expected H R will hire?

Hi All,
When we see our friends & others who fake their experience and move on easily with secured life .
looking at their life others also follow the same , these days it has become common in the market.
Why organizations recruit such candidates is that coz they had been referred by mgt person , seeing all this we are not recognizing the right candidates who can work much better than such candidates.
