Hi Folk, It is has been observing that few companies have given holidays from yesterday to today end because of the bandh effect and the remaining companies are working.

In my last organization, few of the employees were present even then bandh was going on at that time present employees questioned me that how will you pay salaries to us and what about the absent employees? if we are giving the salaries to all what is the use of the present employees?

If we had given holidays how we need to pay salaries to stop.

Because of bandh effect employees irritating me for transport even the workers are not asking but management employees asking like provide transport and security in offices and buses if something happens?

It's too painful and bitter to bear them. One more example is that I conducted the ESIC meeting for staff and the speaker was from the government esic department.

they asked questions are that "if a person is having two wives - how it will work?"

why do not the ESIC doctors come to companies and provide treatment to us?

always have bla bla things offices and all employees are in one group expect me?

i can not go to MD with this bla bla things because he is also short time emotional personal because he is just like the proprietor.

Dear Mr. Ashok Negidi,
Employee claims are many as succinct to their expectations, Human Resources has to accord and make schedules which can take measures to curb issues with the employees. You need to have "Patience" in taking fair decisions.
1] Before a holiday is declared you need to formally send an "Inter-office communication" -- Importantly to observe no such grounds or after effects. Since, this has been raised; put your thoughts to vindicate the matter asap (Paying the employees worked on a Bandh day is not obvious; it's risk involving)Engross the management for such decision to be taken especially to such issues. Transportation (if required) can be provided only when situation demands. During Bharat Bandhs they are perilous. You need to make the staff & workers understand the fact as substantial & corporeal loss.
2] ESIC is a common set-back to all employees. No matter how many meetings or sessions conducted; they'll will definitely have queries. HR needs to have an updated knowledge on the same and retort to the employee issues as and when required. Remember, HR is a people person

Hi Sharmila,
I agreed with your comments is that to have "patience" being Sr. Manager the person is asking that " how esic is will take care when person is having the two wives" is it valid question and Managers does not have common sense to ask question when speaker is from outside is that to ask questions after meeting .
The Executives staff is asking the transport not the production staff is asking you know the office staff is coming the office after 9.40AM but the office is open at 9.30 AM.
I need to lean from Managers but i am have empathetic feeling on them.

@ Mr. Ashok - Agreed! the point here reflects, "A Manager" is a management person and may ask/do anything which he likes. The outsider doesn't predict that he is a manager or executive, his duty is to imply the query made by the staff.
Yes, its too preposterous when they do not use their COMMON SENSE. Being a HR, you obviously feel embarassed to flippant questions, besides, you need to observe the behaviour of your managers and develop your own management style that helps you to work well with them.
HR has the rights to issue warning letters/ memos etc to employees who are observed late to office. Intantly, even before the issue stems to any one you should make sure to deal at ease. HR is held pursuit to remain positive and make decision for acute consequences any time without effecting the (executive or production) staff.

Dear Sharmila,
I targeted they employees those who coming to office but " i am not getting from MD" because directly i am reporting to him " as i stated the word is Manager but the Mangers are not well qualified "
I just started to move the present company i tried my level best to change them but i failed.
No more talks with them and let them work as their own style up to MD bear it.

Mr. Ashok,
You seem to give up faster..!!
No matter how profound are the cases of commotion, you've to held up tight to your gloves. This timne try speaking to your manager at an outset. Present the fact understanding the nature of these employees are borne to managers. Eventhough if your MD takes a blithe of attitude, you may sustain to decide as you like.
Hope you got the sense of what I mentioned.

Ashok,
Have you circulated or announced to all the staff that these two consequtive days are closed due to bandh?
If yes, then you need not to mark present to any employee as it is declared bandh. If the employees concern to ask you regarding their presence to work, you have a valid reason though.

Ashok - You may seek this as a challenge. I suggest you to check with your management in regards to the above mentioned circumstance, coz they would rightly guide the status quo comprehensive to the staff.
Here do not take a decision on your own which might look uncanny rather seeking your boss could be of an opinion that you are adhering to their statement.
