Hi,
Can anyone please help me on how to begin a soft skills training program for job seekers who are freshers. I have been given an opportunity to train a group of freshers on soft skills who will be giving interviews for the first time.

Hi

You are lucky to have a batch of freshers. The first thing is to ensure that you must exude confidence in yourself and be professional when taking the training.

Here are few tips to help you get going

The topics to be covered and the contents would have to be decided by you based on the duration of the training.

The broad topics could include the following
  1. Preparation for the interview
  2. Some Do’s and Don’ts in an interview
  3. Importance of grooming and making an impression at the interview
  4. Eye contact and answering to the point
  5. Some typical interview questions and how to prepare for the same
  6. Personal SWOT and its importance for career planning

You must also be prepared to answer questions or doubts raised by the participants and if possible also conduct a couple of mock interviews to give them a first hand feel of the process.

You are also welcome to go through my Inspirational and Motivational blogs listed below for some additional inputs that could assist you in sketching out the course outline and contents

Thank you for replying back and updating me on how you plan to use the inputs shared by me. I hope you have managed to string a couple of topics together and prepared the module. Best Wishes
