RBI reduces the validity of DD/Cheques from 6 months to 3 months

I need clarifictaon about calculation of gratuity. If some one worked for 6 years & 6 months exactly, kindly clarify whether employee is elligible for 6 years or 7 years gratuity. As Act Says "As per Gratuity Act, For every completed year of service or part thereof in excess of six months, the employer shall pay gratuity to an employee at the rate of fifteen days wages based on the rate of wages last drawn by the employee concerned”

Hi Samir, He/She is eligible for 7 years provided he has worked for 240 days in a year. Regards Hema
