| | Re: what is the best way of screening the resume !! THE BEST WAY TO REVIEW THE RESUMES IS TO ORGANISE THE PROCESS. YOU CAN CREATE A TABLE WHERE THE DATA OF INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES CAN BE ENTERED . ONCE THE DATA IS ENTERED THE SAME CAN BE COMPARED WITH THE STANDARD REQUIREMENTS OF THE MANAGEMENT AND CANDIDATES CAN BE SHORTLISTED AND INTERVIEWED. THIS WILL ENABLE THE WORK COMPLETED QUICKLY.

1. Make a creteria of your needs.
2. Reviw it critically and finalize percentage of flexibility in it.
3. Review every CV according to your creteria.
4. If Matched with maximum flexibility Put at place A
5. If not matched reject it and put it for future use at Place B.

I have gon through the suggestions by our HR's
I too agree with all of them
But one thing should be clarity be in your mind set
for Screening CV's
- should have job description
- job description , skills for the requirement plus
communication skills cum Lang
- Formulate one matix as per job description
- View and Enter requistie info in Matrix from CV
- believe initiallly it looks harder to fololow but, later
it becomes easy
and, fruitful and efficient results
hope it will meet your requirement

First of all have the job specifications as your reference. Highlight key words in the specifications and make a list of it . (Key technical words like Programming languages or a particular type of tool or a particular type of equipment or a process or qualification or a soft skill like good communication skills etc. ).
For every resume that comes to you search against the key words and if there is a good match for qualifications and the experience and the technical abilities shortlist it else reject it.
IF you are getting resumes via a soft copy it is much easier to do as MS Word will give you a good search functionality. You can also highlight the key words found using a highlighter(present in MS Word).
Some companies use a good application for these jobs.
Hope this helps
Thanks
