Dear friends,
I am in an organization where no payscale or salary structure exists. I am required to prepare the same for an existing 400 plus employess and also for the future expansions of the Group. Could any one help me with guidances and important aspects I should consider? Thanks ..

Hi! Try to segregate taxable and non - taxable salary components and fix the structure. May sure that pay structure should be easy and helpful to the employee in terms of tax. Chini

With respect to payscale, the salary of the employees are given in a range like 2500-200-300-3000. This shows that the employee having salary 2500 will be incremented to 2700(2500+200) in his/her first increment and to 3000(2700+300) in his second increment. The interval between the increments is upon the management policies.
With respect to salary structure, involve the aspects suitable to your organisation like travel allowances, food allowances, city compensation allowances, etc..
You can also take the help of an auditor for the salary structure.
