The departments under HR are as follows:-

1. Recruitment & Selection
2. Administration
3. Training and Development
4. Personnel Department

These are common departments which can usually be found in a Good Company.

As many Dept. Comes under the HR but there is no specific rule for that it depends on Organisation to Oganisation

e.g. In many small scale industries HR/Perssonnel is same but in giant and huge industry HR ADMN., PERSONEEL TIME OFFICE CAN BE DIFFERENT.

In any company, the size of the HR department depends on the size of the organization.

In a big organization the HR department has following sub departments in it:

1) Training & Development
2) Recruitment
3) Payroll
4) Administration
5) Organizational Development
6) Legal

In small companies, all these activities a re looked after by either 2 or 3 persons...


It dependes company to company mainly can be Recruitment/sourcing/hiring team Compensation and benefits team called as comp and ben HR Ops team Payroll Training and Development Legal nad compliance

There is no rule for this, it all depend on the organization's goals.

The human resource department is devoted to providing effective policies, procedures, and people-friendly guidelines and support within companies. Please see below list of HR responsablities but not limited..

Organization Development.
Performance Management.
Policy Recommendation.
Salary and Benefits.
Team Building.
Employee Relations.

Some of these responsabilities could be turn in to departments. Now, it is also depending on the skills of the HR manager and the organization could arrange to have other funtions reporting to HR, susch as IT, Legal, General Administration, Governament Relation, etc.. basically all support funtions.

Help me out by listing out the departments iin your company, so that i could say which are all those covered under HR, because department are at large & differs from company2company
Anything regarding employees or manpower in org will be headed by HR dept..
Except marketing, finance everythng is HR.. Even production need HRs contribution
