Thank you very much. The info, which you have provided, has doubled my confidence. I really appreciate the efforts made by citehr to provide a common platform for beginners and leaders as learning is never ending process.
Once again i thank you for sparing time to answer in middle of your weekend.
I also invite others to share their experience when they got into the first job as an HR.

Hi Deepak,
Congraats :-P
From my side:-
  1. Plz try to be a good listener to disgruntled employees.
  2. Plz impart confidence in employees so that they feel "empower"-ed and have increased productivity.

Hi,
Congrats!
I would suggest - pls try and understand the purpose of the Company hiring you. Wat exactly do "THEY" expect out of u. After that, prioritize ur work and execute accordingly.
Get the purpose of ur role clear, and then u could also seek help under each area on what u can contribute. Sometimes, we tend to go a bit out of our way and do MORE, which may make the employer feel that u r not doing wat is assigned and u r lacking direction. I hope u got the message!
Good Luck!

Deepak,
As a fresher in the department your managers would expect that:
You must be all ears to the advice coming your way
You must be absolutely open to feebdack
Always have a smiling face
Offer solutions and not help
Do not contradict with anyone unless its really needed
Interact with people well, but communicate more on emails!
Have a positive attitude...
Guess thats about it for a start... Please do let us know if all this helps or not!!!
Thanks& Best of luck!!!!
