Hello Seniors,
My brother is on the verge of completing his first year of MBA and seeks all of your guidance in course selection. His undergraduate degree is BSc in Hotel Management, and the specializations currently available are Marketing, HR, Finance & Systems. He would like to pursue a dual specialization with HR as one of the specializations.
He aims to work in the HR department of a software company and also has a good grasp of finance. Therefore, he is torn between HR & Systems or HR & Finance. What are the advantages of Systems over Finance or vice versa when applying for a job? What kinds of opportunities are available for both specializations? Could you please provide guidance on this matter?
Your response will help a student shape his career. Kindly reply. Waiting to hear from friends & seniors.

Hi,
I would suggest HR & Finance for the simple reason that you would be working closely with the Finance department if you are an HR professional. It helps to be aware of things like IT and Payroll as much as possible. I've worked for software companies in the HR department, and the above is strictly my humble opinion.
Hope this helps.
