Hi friends,

Currently, my company follows the following salary structure:
- Basic
- HRA
- Conveyance
- Other Allowance

Kindly provide me the guidelines for percentage fixing for the above breakup. What are the rules governing percentage fixing?

What other salary structure could be followed?

Thanks,
Uma

Dear Friend,

Regarding the Salary Structure Break-up, the general view is as follows:

Salary from the CONSOLIDATED PACKAGE:
BASIC: Rs. 60%
D.A.: Rs. 20%
HRA: Rs. 15%
OTHERS: Rs. 5%
TOTAL: Rs. 100%

However, the structure depends on factors such as I.T. Tax deductions, etc., taken into consideration.

Hi, the above discussion is incorrect. I'm sorry to say this. Please find below the details for the salary breakup:

Salary Breakup Details

- Basic: 30 to 40% of CTC
- HRA: 50% of Basic
- Conveyance: 800
- Medical Reimbursement: 1250
- Special Allowance: Balance CTC

On all the above discussions, Rajesh_smiles86 has provided correct calculations. But, Rajesh, please make a note that it is not CTC as mentioned by you; it is Gross. CTC includes employer PF and ESI contributions, insurance, bonus, etc.

Conveyance can be taken as 800/- or 1600/- (fixed). Medical Reimbursement is fixed at 1250.

Hope this helps in clearing your doubt.
