Perception, an important part of Human Resources!
Did we ever think of perception, that it is a very important part of Human Resources?
Perception, what can one understand by this word "perception"? It's nothing but pre-defined notions, feelings, thoughts that anyone has in their mind. Do we ever consider these points - that what we always think about something or someone is always right?
So, now the question arises: should we perceive things, or should we believe in facts?
Let me give an example - we all want to join our dream organization. I think I am right, where we will be getting all benefits, facilities, etc. But what if we get into it, and it is not as we were thinking? Won't our perception be wrong? Won't we be wrong in our thinking, thoughts, feelings, etc.?
So, certain things must be based on reality. Don't you think so? Because we are human beings, and we can't always be right in our perception. So, the conclusion is:
"Perception must be based on reality!"

I would like to appraise you that the word "perception" is of more importance to us when defining any management system. Like Quality Management System based on ISO 9001 always focuses on principles like data-driven decision-making or a factual approach towards decision-making.
This is one of the important principles as we believe that perception carries a risk of being wrong, and data, facts, or figures are the only options to mitigate the risk. The problem of using perception mainly lies with two age segments: the fresher segment and the over-experienced ones.
Both groups view the world/organization with their own perceptions. The freshers view with their own perception as they have no base, and the experienced believe that they have seen enough of the world so they can conclude based on the past. These two segments are more dangerous.
We need to tackle these things in a systematic manner. Maybe trying to counsel them would be a better option. That's it from my side.
