Being a sole proprietorship company, am I eligible to apply for a PF/ESIC account?

There is a possibility that I might need it for third-party contract hiring, for which it is mandatory to have a PF/ESIC account.

Clarity would be appreciated.

Coverage of Labor Enactments: Employee Count Matters

For coverage of various labor enactments, the constitution of the organization, whether a sole proprietorship, partnership, or a company, is not a determining factor. Instead, it is decided by the number of employees. If you have 10 employees, you should take ESI registration, and if you have 20 employees, you should also take PF registration.
