Normally all who earn income are expected to pay profession tax. However, some state governments (this is a subject of local self government and as such there is no central law for it) have exempted some occupations and persons like ex servicemen and persons with disability from the scope of the Act. Therefore, you may please check whether any special treatment is given to health care sector and people working in health care industry.
