Respected Seniors,

Hope you are well! Just writing to inquire about candidates for internship opportunities in our company. Recently, I received three resumes from interns interested in undertaking internships in HR topics. This is my first time handling interns. Kindly advise me on the list of tasks I can undertake from the beginning to the end. What should I ask, and what should I provide?

Thanks and regards,

Sidharth Ku

Hi, College final-year students, as part of their curriculum, need to undergo practical training with companies in their field of study or career interest, which is called an internship.

Hiring Interns

If you are planning to hire interns, please ensure that you hire them through colleges with a proper certification letter issued by the colleges. The stipend for interns will vary from organization to organization. Normally, the period of internship will be for a short period ranging from 1 to 3 or 4 months. Interns are not eligible for any statutory deductions like PF/ESI.

Issuing Internship Letters

You need to issue an internship letter to interns, mentioning the start date, end date, stipend, and other details. After successful completion of the internship, issue them the completion letter as well.
