Dear HR Professionals, I have one query, and I believe this is the correct platform where my query will be resolved. My date of joining with my ex-employer was October 2013, and the date of leaving was March 2021. I have withdrawn my entire PF amount but have not withdrawn the Pension Fund. Now, the new company is not contributing to my pension fund. I have some amount left with the pension fund from my old company. What should I do?
1) Is it possible to withdraw my pension fund?
2) I wanted to continue the pension in my new company, but it's not happening.
Please advise on the best solution for this.

Since your service is less than 10 months, you do not qualify for a pension. Therefore, you could have withdrawn the amount available in the Pension fund. The reason why the present company is not contributing to the pension fund is that you have withdrawn the PF accumulations. I believe that your present company has generated a new UAN. That is why they are unable to contribute to the pension fund or are not bifurcating their contribution. (It may be checked whether while joining this company you had submitted Form 11, which declared that you did not have an active PF account or UAN). If so, obviously, you will come under the category of an employee joined after 1st Sept 2014 and hence ineligible for a pension. Therefore, you may withdraw the Pension fund now through your member portal.
