Hi, I am from Mumbai, but my husband works in another state. For some months, he has been having an extramarital affair with a married Deputy HR in his office. They have been going out and staying in hotels. He has even gaslighted me and my kids about the situation. The HR is aware that he is married and has kids, yet she is still actively involved with him. I really need to know if the company will take any action if I approach them. Do I need to gather evidence for the complaint? I have all the information about the affair, including their travels and hotel stays. Can anyone please help me out?

Hi, My observation is that a company cannot interfere in the personal lives of employees regarding what they do after office hours unless it will have an impact on the company.

You may meet with the Head of HR in person to explain the situation with all proofs. The maximum they can do is either transfer that lady or your husband to another branch or even terminate anyone, but this will not resolve your problem. They will continue their relationship wherever she goes. It is better to call your husband for a discussion with the elders of both families. He can be counseled and explained how this relationship will impact the future of your kids.
