Hi All, Need opinion for an old and hardworking employee who is employed with the company for more than 10 years.
For the past few years, he is not well due to some health issues. He is dealing with some intestine problems which is not in a state to recover.
Now being as a company we have supported him in all aspects- financial, moral, job security, leave adjustments for so long time.
Even still we manage his work hours from home. Now management is asking to take a final call as this scenario is not in charge for more than 5 years. Now there are some limitations in each segment. To settle this situation as he is the only source of income in the family. In the future, he requires financial support for medical assistance. On humanity's grounds, we did things in his favor & still doing so, but that cannot be for so long anymore.

Looking to the situation he is in, you can work out a liberal full & final settlement package. In addition, you can support him by persuading your supplier to appoint him as their agent or use him as your agent to deal with some special customer or some other assignment which he can discharge basically from home and requirement to come to the work place is very limited. Your efforts to support him as a humanitarian gesture is well appreciated
