HR forced me to resign on the 1st of April, and they ended my employment date as the 30th of March in the relieving letter. They paid me for the notice period as a normal salary in subsequent months. However, my relieving letter states my last working day is the 30th of March, and I have a salary slip for April as well. I asked them for an updated relieving letter, and now they are saying I was terminated with effect from the 30th of March. Can I take any legal action against them? I worked for an IT company.

Relieving Order and Resignation Date Discrepancy
The relieving order stating that you have been relieved from 30th March, whereas you submitted your resignation on 1st April and the pay slip indicates your presence in April, is anachronistic but cannot be said to have prejudiced you. The notice period salary has been given. I wonder what the relieving order states regarding the date of resignation.
Although it is a wrong order, there is no worthwhile cause to agitate in any legal forum.
