Are Earned Leaves considered as working days?

"If an employee resigns while on LWP or does not report for duty after exhausting the LWP, then the last working day prior to proceeding on LWP would be treated as the date of separation for all purposes."

So my LWP starts after my Earned Leaves get exhausted. If I resign during LWP, what will be the date of separation—the last working day before going on Earned Leave or the last day of Earned Leave after which LWP starts?

Note: LWP = Leave Without Pay for Educational Purposes

Earned Leave and Its Implications

Earned Leave (EL) is considered as duty; however, during the period of EL, the employee will not earn any additional EL, unlike during their actual duty period.

Leave Without Pay and Employer-Employee Relationship

Leave Without Pay (LWP) does not sever the employer-employee relationship, except in cases where the employer declares it as a break in service according to the service regulations or standing orders.

Separation During Leave

Any kind of separation, whether initiated by the employer or the employee, will take effect prospectively and not retrospectively, even during authorized Leave on LWP.
