Contextually, the term "leave" means leave of absence and would automatically imply the permission sought by an employee from his/her employer to be away from work or the place of work as the case be. As such, my personal view point is that working from home or remote work and work at site/office cannot make any distinction in respect of employment benefits like leave, holidays etc., when both are under a contract of employment only. Therefore, I don't think it is essential to have a separate leave policy for work from home employees.

As long as work from home is in force shall be treated at work, unless until one asked or request for "leave" .
The 'work from home' is not applicable to all as their working nature is different. What action to be taken during the lock down situation has to be decided in a consultative manner with Govt. in a sympathetic manner as one is absent is owing to the pandemic conditions.
