My friend is working with an organization for 2.5 years. Last October, she got a promotion, and her salary is above 21000. Since October, she hasn't had any ESI deductions. However, the company is now saying she should adhere to the ESI maternity policy, and the company is not liable to pay her anything except ESI.

Contribution period:
- 1st April to 30th September
- 1st October to 31st March of the following year

Corresponding benefit period:
- 1st January to 30th June of the following year
- 1st July to 31st December of the calendar year

Thanks sir for update but as per new update of maternity policy only person who are below 21000 should go to esi. and above maternity leave are paid by company.
