Dear Seniors,

I am working in the Garments Industry as an HR Executive. Currently, I am seeking the Evacuation Procedure in the local language (Tamil) to be displayed in our factory.

Could you please assist me with this information, perhaps with a sample?

Regards,

Evacuation Procedure

The "Evacuation Procedure" is a document written for a specific building, outlining actions to be taken in cases of emergencies such as fires. This procedure varies across industries and is tailored based on the layout of the facility. It is crucial that all employees on the shop floor comprehend the procedure.

Initially, the potential emergencies at the plant or office level should be identified. As the expert, devise the most effective, simple, and safe strategy for guiding people during emergencies, minimizing risks. Crafting the optimal procedure requires extensive knowledge of the layout, group dynamics, and consideration of age groups and even dress codes. Translate the procedure into any desired language.

I trust that my instructions are clear to you!

To add an example tip. If you have piled up garment/cloth bundles near the staircase, you should write a procedure that in case of fire, use the particular staircase, as it will be more hazardous than any other way. Before writing the procedure, observe the areas of hazard inside the plant. You may have to do a small exercise of 're-engineering' concept in the layout area. Identify existing areas that are clean without any blocking/damage. This is most important as far as I am concerned.
