Kindly guide me that If an employee is working as part time, can he be covered under ESI & EPF Compliances though he is working in other establishment also where all ESI & EPF Contributions are done.

Yes, he needs to be covered since for the both Acts, an employee is an employee whether he is part-time , full time, temporary or contract worker. B.Saikumar HR & Labour relations Adviser Navi Mumbai

Dear Deepak,

If your establishment is covered under ESI and EPF, then all the employees, irrespective of their nature (contract, casual, temporary, permanent, or other), are to be covered. They are either through the contractor or in the absence of the principal employer.

Sir pls don’t Isolate that small employees.Ask him that he was already covered..Or not.if not make him beneficiary for all above schemes..
