Hi, I am trying to verify an Applicant's Previous Employment from XYZ company. I have obtained the Applicant's consent through email for the background check.

For the email verification process, when sending an email to XYZ, can I attach the previous employment documents (relevant to XYZ Company - such as the experience letter submitted by the applicant) to verify the authenticity of the documents? Is it a good practice to ask the Previous employer to verify the documents?

Thanks,
Akshara

Yes, the comments of a previous employer can be considered. Presuming that the employee has submitted the relieving order or service certificate from the previous employer, it is proper and ethical to have it verified by them.
