I am working with an MNC company that was established in December 2016, and I joined in January 2017 as a Senior Executive in Administration. I requested my appointment letter many times, but they denied it every time, citing various reasons. Finally, when I received my letter in March, they mentioned a three-month notice period. I had no option but to accept that.
The challenge of a three-month notice period
I know no company waits for three months, especially for an executive-level candidate. Now, I do not want to continue as I am not finding any career growth here. The main problem is that even if I apply for jobs, no one responds because they cannot wait for three months.
Risk of resigning without a job
If I resign from my current company and then start searching for a job, it will be too risky. What if I do not get any job during my notice period? I can't continue, I can't resign, and the new company will not wait for three months. I feel trapped here.
Please suggest what I should do. I would be very thankful.

Hi Kamal, first of all, relax and then:
1. List down all your issues with the current company in a notepad.
2. See the possible solutions for each of the listed issues.
3. Determine how many of these issues demand a change in your job.
4. If the majority suggests a change in the job, then plan for that.
5. If you are truly ambitious to find a new job or achieve a goal, you can make it happen.
We have to take risks. However, building a career is not going to happen overnight. One must learn, experiment, observe, and improve to acquire a handful of competencies. You also have to build professional relationships, improve visibility, and promote yourself in a professional manner. This requires patience and the ability to get along with people.
Whether you are on a 3-month notice period or 1 month is irrelevant, as the objective when you join a company is not to leave the company but to stay on and grow with it. When you get employment in a company, look at it as an opportunity to learn, earn, and grow. There could be problems. However, please note that there is a solution to every human problem, and when you try to solve problems, you will acquire new knowledge, improve skills, and add up some more competencies.

Thank you very much for your help, sir. However, I am facing several issues that impact my career and self-respect.
Reporting Structure Concerns
1. I have to report to a Finance Executive who is completely fresh. How can a Senior HR & Admin Executive like me, with over 7 years of experience, report to a Finance Executive?
2. She oversees HR, not me, even though I have experience in this area. Additionally, she leads in Administration because my boss favors her.
Trust and Departmental Issues
3. My boss does not trust me or the admin department. According to him, this department is one where admin people take commissions from vendors. I agree to some extent, but how can he generalize everyone?
Accommodation Management
4. Accommodation is managed by another person who is fresh and works as a Procurement Officer/Customer Service.
I feel so exhausted here, and my confidence level has become zero.
