Hello Everyone,
I just want to know, is it possible for an employee to not have their PF and ESIC deducted? Is there a form available for employees to opt out of PF and ESIC deductions?
Thanks
From India, Jalalpur

Hello dear,
As per statutory compliance rules, there is no exemption; it is compulsory. A company or establishment is responsible for remitting PF on behalf of both itself and its employees if it meets the coverage requirements under the EPF & MP Act 1952:
- More than 4 employees in the case of Cinema theatres
- More than 49 employees in the case of Co-operative Societies operating without the aid of power
- More than 19 employees in factories and other establishments notified by the Central Government.
